As part of its commitment to nurturing the next generation of storytellers, the Accra Animation Film Festival (AAFFia) launched a series of Masterclasses designed to build capacity within the African animation industry.

The first Masterclass took place in March 2019, bringing together participants from across illustration, animation, film, and digital marketing for an intensive two-day program. The curriculum explored the psychology of storytelling, the art of building memorable characters, and the connection between storytelling, branding, and audience engagement — including a special focus on creating impactful stories for children.
